Femi Taiwo serves as the Executive Director of LEAP Africa- one of Africa’s leading youth-focused leadership development organisations. In this role, he oversees the organization’s administration, fund-raising, strategy implementation, and programme delivery in six African countries. Prior to this position at LEAP, Femi was the founding Executive Director of Femi-Taiwo-1024x1024Eagles HOPE Foundation (aka H.O.P.E- Helping Other People Excel), a non-profit initiated by the Covenant University Alumni Association. There, he led the organisation to create and execute award-winning youth programmes that reached over 12,000 youth in major cities in Nigeria over a five-year period. In these roles, Femi has facilitated several consulting and training interventions across Africa and in the United Kingdom. As part of his career journey, Femi also worked in GlaxoSmithKline implementing professional development programmes for young physicians and spent a year at a market research consultancy in the United Kingdom.

Femi advises several youth-focused social organisations across Africa and beyond. He also speaks internationally on themes relating to education and skills, social entrepreneurship, the SDGs, and transformative leadership. Femi is extremely passionate about leadership and enterprise development, youth development and youth-led development. He is on a personal mission of facilitating the transformation of individuals, organisations and nations.

Femi is an alumnus of LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Program and has received various awards for Youth leadership and Community Development. He is a 2018 Aspen Institute IdeasFest Scholar and is part of the inaugural class of the Obama Africa Leaders Programme. He seats on the Board of Global Compact Network Nigeria (the local arm of United Nations Global Compact) among others.

Femi holds a MSc. in Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship from Manchester Business School, where he focused his research on Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Covenant University, where he earned a first class degree in Computer Science.

Henrietta OnwuegbuzieDr Henrietta Onwuegbuzie leads sessions in entrepreneurship on the MBA and Executive programmes at Lagos Business School (LBS), and is currently the Academic Director for the Owner-Manager Programme and Project Director for the Impact Investing policy initiative at the Lagos Business School. She is also one of the first African Visiting Faculty at Yale School of Management, US. She has an MSc (with honours), in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarre, Spain, an MBA from Lagos Business School, Nigeria, and a PhD in Entrepreneurship, from Lancaster University, UK. Onwuegbuzie is also a globally certified Management consultant and is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants in Nigeria. She is a life member of the Beta Gamma Sigma group, which admits only high performers in the top 5% of Schools, worldwide.

Prior to joining the LBS faculty, she managed educational projects for women’s development, in different states in Nigeria and subsequently, worked in the banking industry with key responsibilities for blue chip companies and multinationals in the Corporate Banking sector. Onwuegbuzie sits on the Board of a number of Nigerian companies, and has extensive consulting experience, spanning projects at the State level to conglomerates and SME’s in various industries. On a voluntary basis, she mentors a number of aspiring and established entrepreneurs.

Onwuegbuzie is passionate about economic development and social transformation in Nigeria and Africa, and has initiated the creation of over 100 profitable, social impact businesses through the MBA and Executive programmes at LBS. She has also presented award winning papers at various international conferences on entrepreneurship and sustainable development. In 2013, she was conferred the African Women Development Champion Award by the Centre for Economic and Leadership Development. In the same year, she was appointed one of the national mentors for the YouWin Entrepreneurship programme, which was driven from the office of the president. In 2015, she was conferred a certificate of recognition in New York by LEAP, a UN working group under the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) sector, in recognition of her ground-breaking work in developing change accelerators. She has been rated top 4% among Nigerian top Executives in the education Management industry

Screenshot (119)Deborah is a resourceful and season Finance and Strategy professional with over two decades of experience spanning across professional service, Maritime, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Construction and Telecoms industries in Nigeria. She is an Aresty Scholar of the Executive program of the Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, an alumnus of the Executive Business School at INSEAD, France and the Lagos Business School. She has been thoroughly exposed to numerous on-the-job and high-class formal classroom trainings within and outside of the country including USA, France, South Africa and UK.

Deborah is ISO 14001:2015 certified in Environmental Management System and has attended short awareness courses for Executive Management on HSE organized by Institute of Safety Professional of Nigeria (ISPON). She has been trained in Basic Survival Skills in water and has attended Oil Spill Response Management (IMO Level 3) strategic course required for all oil spill response decision makers in OSRL, UK.

She is a seasoned trainer and a facilitator. She recently authored a book titled : “ABC Tools For The Workplace” which has gathered numerous positive feedback including featuring on radio talk show and TV. Her passion for impacting knowledge and helping the destitute achieve academic goal moved her to institute Deborah David Empowerment Foundation in 2017. She is articulate and persuasive in dealing with issues of balancing with sundry stakeholders, keenly inclined to staff mentoring and team leadership to improve on work efficiency and turnaround time. Deborah is currently an Executive in African Circle Pollution Management Limited based in Nigeria. Prior to this, she had worked with MTN, KPMG, GlaxoSmithKline plc and Centrica.

Oyeku 1Dr. Dele Oyeku was born about 54 years ago at the most northern town in Oyo State, Kisi to the family of Mr. and Mrs. M.O Oyeku. He started his education at St. Stephen Catholic Primary School, Otun Ekiti; attended four primary schools but finished at Baptist Primary School, Kanjuko, Kisi in 1978. He had his secondary education at Kisi Community Grammar School between 1978 and 1983 before proceeding for “A” Level at the Federal Government College, Ilorin (1983-1984). Dr. Dele Oyeku has B.Sc. Chemistry/Education Second Class Upper Division in 1988 at University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State. He has Master’s degree in Chemistry from the same University in 1995; he has flair for Physical Chemistry with strength in Chemical thermodynamics, Chemical kinetics, Quantum Chemistry and Statistical Chemistry. He has Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Entrepreneurial Success at Babcock University in 2017. He also bagged Graduate Certificate in Computer Science Applications (1992); Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration (Kwara State Polytechnic, 1995) and Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration with Distinction at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism in 1997. Dr. Dele Oyeku was awarded Doctor of Science in Entrepreneurship & Information Management by the European American University of the Commonwealth of Dominica in 2015.

Dr. Dele Oyeku is a member of the following professional institutions: FELLOW- Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria, ICCON (2018); FELLOW- Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, IMCON (2018); FELLOW-Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria (2015); FELLOW-Chartered Institute of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Governance (2014); MEMBER-Institute of Entrepreneurs, Nigeria (2015); FULL MEMBER-Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (2014); Associate-Nigerian Institute of Management (1995); and ASSOCIATE-Chartered Institute of Marketing (Now Nigerian Institute of Marketing -1999); AFFLIATE – Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management (Now Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, 1995). He was appointed the Chairman Board Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Governance in 2014 and he is a Licensed Management Consultant.

Dr. Dele Oyeku was a Chemistry Lecturer at the Kwara State Polytechnic (1991-1993- Part-time); He was Corporate Affairs Manager, Ferns Kwara Glass Industrial Complex (1993- 1994). In 1994, he joined the services of Amas Finance & Investment (A Division of Amas Group) as Head, Finance & Investment and was there till November, 1996 before joining the services of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi as Research Officer I. He rose through the ranks to become Deputy Director in October, 2011 in charge of Techno-entrepreneurship & Techno-economics Division at FIIRO. He got promoted in July, 2015 to the position of Director and currently heads the Extension & Linkage Department of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi. Between May, 2011 and May, 2019, he was the Senior Technical Adviser/Chief Strategist to the former DG/CEO, FIIRO, Prof. (Mrs.) G.N Elemo. Between 1998 and 1999, he was the Acting Officer-in-Charge, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Kano Office. Dele Oyeku was also a National Expert to United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and has handled some projects for UNIDO.

His areas of research interest are: Techno-economic Packaging of R & D Results for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs with special interest in the Chemical industries and Agro-allied industries; Technology business development; R&D commercialization; Technology transfer and Industrial linkage & extension; Technical enterprises promotion and development; Technology management; entrepreneurship and so on. Dr. Dele Oyeku has thirty two research articles published in both academic and none academic journals. He has co-authored five books on entrepreneurship and currently has six manuscripts on books on Techno-investments Opportunities in different areas of technologies developed at FIIRO ready for the press. He has attended many conferences, seminar, workshops etc and presented over sixty papers in conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.

On Friday, 5th September, 2008, Dele Oyeku was celebrated as an “Inspire Africa Individual” at a Television Talk show during MOments’ episode on “Uncelebrated Resources” airing on M-Net Premium Channel 102 with a Pan African reach to over 41 African countries, Africa Magic (Sundays at 7.00pm), NTA Network (Sundays at 6.00pm) and Silverbird Television (Saturdays at 1.00pm) with previous guests on that same show including: Prof. Wole Soyinka, Prof. Dora Akunyili, Governor Bola Tinubu, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru, Oba Dapo Tejuosho, Mr. Gamaliel Onosode and so on.

As a way of giving back to the society especially his alma mater, Dr. Dele Oyeku instituted an award for the Best Chemistry Graduate at the University of Ilorin tagged “Pa Oyewole Oyeku Best Chemistry Graduate Prize” in honour of his father who saw him through university education with his pension as a retired Police Officer; the award commenced at the 2018 graduation ceremony and would be on for ten years. His hobbies are: jesting & gisting; making friends; reading & writing; table tennis with flair for evangelism. He is happily married with six children.

loveChinonye Love Moses (PhD) is a professor of Entrepreneurship in Covenant University. She is currently the Head of the Department of Business Management and formally the Director, Entrepreneurial Development Studies, Covenant University and a member of the Board of Covenant Microfinance Bank. (CMFB) Covenant University. She is a member of Nigeria Institute for Management (NIM), Institute for Operations Research of Nigeria (AFIOR), The Academy of Management of Nigeria (TAMN). She is a Fellow of Charted Institution of Administration and  a Fellow of Certified Management Consultant.  She is also a Board Member of Royal Image Foundation (RIF), the Director of LEMC Konsults, Emmanuel Centre for Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise (ECEFE), the CEO of Covenant Foods Ventures and Fagramo Farms & Agro-allied Services Ltd.

She was a member of International Advisory Board at 9th International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies, Barcelona, Spain, 3th -5th of July, 2017. Her qualifications include PhD. (Entrepreneurship) – Covenant University, MSc. (Management) -University of Lagos, MBA– University of Jos, and BSc. (Accounting) 2nd Class Upper Division- University of Jos. She has several publications in both international and local journals. She has supervised over fifty (50) undergraduate research projects, twenty (25) Masters students and five (5) Ph.D candidates.

Ibidunni Ayo (2)Ibidunni, Ayodotun Stephen is a University Faculty, Researcher, Management Consultant and religious leader. He obtained his PhD degree in Business Administration (with specialization in Strategy & Operations Management) from Covenant University, Nigeria; Master’s Degree in Business Administration (with specialization in Strategic Management) from Covenant University, Nigeria; BSc. degree in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria; and a Diploma Certificate in Marketing from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. Dr. Ibidunni has extensive working experience as a Management Consultant and as a Start-up coach. Currently (2013 – Date), Dr. Ibidunni works as Faculty member in the Department of Business Management (Business Administration Unit) of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

His academic and research rooting is in the areas of Strategic Management, Operations Management and Entrepreneurship. Engr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo runs a social enterprise called ‘SLOT Foundation’ whose primary responsibility is to help budding entrepreneurs create jobs and promote local content. Under the auspice of SLOT Foundation is the SLOT Academy which promotes the importance of vocational training and fosters creativity and employment for the Nigerian youth since 2015.

SLOT Academy has trained over 500 Nigerians in Phone and Laptop Engineering. This has helped in creating Jobs and also promoted entrepreneurship.

He is happily married to Mrs. Nkechi Ezeigbo and they are blessed with kids.

RooseveltOgbonnaRoosevelt Ogbonna is the Group Deputy Managing Director of Access Bank PLC. He has over 20 years of experience in banking, cutting across treasury, commercial, corporate and investment banking. Prior to his appointment, he was the Executive Director, Wholesale Banking Division of Access Bank PLC.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Senior Executive Fellow of Harvard Kennedy School and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IMD Business School, an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In 2015, he was selected as one of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) Future Global Leaders.

AdenikeAdeyemiAdenike Adeyemi is a development sector professional with 16 years of experience in non-profit management, enterprise development, education and youth enablement strategies.

Currently the Executive Director of FATE Foundation (Nigeria’s leading enterprise focused non-profit), Adenike leads the fulfilment of the organisation’s mission to enable aspiring and emerging Nigerian entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses. Since joining the FATE in 2015, she has deepened FATE’s strategic footprint in the Nigerian entrepreneurship ecosystem through research, policy dialogue and advocacy. She has also led FATE to expand the impact of its flagship programs covering growth focused enterprise training; mentoring and strategic advisory services; and scale focused Accelerator programs for target growth sectors of the Nigerian economy. Adenike’s previous experience includes Manager, KPMG Advisory services; pioneer Executive Director, Nigeria Leadership Initiative; and Learning Support Programme Management at the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Program. She started her career 17 years ago with the West African NGO Network and has Interned at the New York based Africa America Institute.

Adenike has a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University (2005) and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Ibadan (2001).

CharlesAkinsetePharm. Charles A. Akinsete is a 1996 graduate of the prestigious Faculty of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.where he also obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degreewith Specialty in Marketing in the year 2004. He has close to two decades experience in Industry Pharmacy practice covering key sectors of Business development, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory, Administration, Human Capital Management, and Finance. He has attended various courses and conferences within and outside the country.

He has served his profession in many capacities and this has won him many awards.

He was the Pharmanews Magazine personality of March 2013.

He is a Merit Award Winner of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Lagos State branch, Eminent Person Award winner of the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP), Distinguished Merit Award winner of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) University of Lagos, Award of Recognition & Appreciation (PANS/OOU), An Alumnus with Distinguished Support to Faculty Of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University Award, among many others. DavidOmoleProf. David O. Omole is the Dean, College of Engineering, Covenant University, Nigeria. He obtained his Master’s and Ph.D degrees in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Covenant University in 2006 and 2011 respectively. Prior, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from FUT Akure and Ekiti State University respectively. His research is focused on water quality modeling, water treatment, solid waste management, and environmental laws and management. He was Director, Covenant University Consultancy Services in 2013; Sub-Dean, College of Engineering, 2015 – 2016; Director, Vice-Chancellor’s office, 2016 – 2018; and Dean, College of Engineering, 2018 – date. He is a corporate member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) certified Engineer.

MudaYusufMr. Muda Yusuf is the Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). He has participated in various high level public policy advocacy dialogues at both the federal and state levels with the aim of fostering private sector participation in the Nigerian economic development. He is a leading advocate of an enabling environment for the Nigerian private sector and has a vast knowledge and exposure on Business Research and Policy issues affecting business.

Muda Yusuf has attended various prestigious courses, conferences and seminars both locally and internationally. He was a delegate to the Commonwealth Business Forum in 2011, attended the Advanced Management Programme of the Lagos Business School, participated in the conference on Management of Business Associations in the United States and a member of delegation to the World Trade Organisation Ministerial Conference in Cancun, Mexico. Participated at conferences of the World Chambers Federation in various countries.

Muda Yusuf obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Economics from the University of Ilorin and University of Lagos, respectively. He is a member of the Ikoyi Club and happily married with children.

FeliciaOlokoyoDr. Felicia Omowunmi Olokoyo is an Associate Professor of Corporate Finance in the Banking and Finance Department, College of Business and Social Sciences, and the current Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Studies, Covenant University, Nigeria. She has an overriding goal to be the best at whatever she does. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria with a B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance in the First Class Honours Division. She got her M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in Banking and Finance from Covenant University with area of specialization in Corporate Finance. She has a penchant love for reading and researching with areas of research interest in Lending Behaviour of Banks, Foreign Direct Investments, Capital Structure, Institutions and Corporate Performance, Corporate Governance, Land-based Investments (LIs), Large Land-based Agricultural Investments (LLAIs) and Development Finance where she has published many scholarly articles and has presented conference/seminar papers in many countries of the world. She has won several awards. She is a Fulbright Scholar and a State Alumnus. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB)and an Associate of the Nigerian Society for Financial Research (NSFR). She is also a member of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa(CODESRIA), the International Forum for Democracy and Peace (IFDP), the International Academy of African Business and Development (IAABD) and Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) among others.She has published in reputable referred journals in and outside Africa and also serves as a reviewer for journals such asthe African Development Review (ISSN 1017-6772), (African Development Bank, Wiley-Blackwell Publishers, UK), Journal of Economics and International Finance (ISSN 2006-9812), Academic Journals and Global Journal of Economics and Finance.

PeterBamkoleMr. Peter Bamkole, pioneered the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan-Atlantic University in January 2003 – now one of the top enterprise development centers in Africa and a model which has been replicated in four African countries (Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda). As the Director of the Center, he is responsible for the overall program development, capacity building and support services to entrepreneurs. Trained as a Mechanical Engineer in the UK under the British Petroleum scholarship, with MBA from IESE Business School in Spain and alumnus of Lagos Business School (Chief Executive Program), his 35 years cognate experience spans both the public and private sectors. (Oil Industry; Water Supply and Education).

He led the Goldman Sachs 10,000 women initiative in Nigeria, and was a consultant to the project in Liberia. He initiated and led several partnership programs with diverse stakeholders such as British Council, Etisalat, Federal Government of Nigeria, Diamond Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Access Bank and MTN. With the support of The Coca- Cola Africa Foundation, he is developing a new generation of nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

A certified Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) trainer, Peter consults widely in Sub-Saharan Africa on entrepreneurship development and practice. He is a member of the University Management Council, served on the National Council on MSME and the Youth Learning Advisory Committee of the MasterCard Foundation, Canada.

Peter Bamkole received the 2017 member of the year award from the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE); he was also the recipient of the 2017 Alumni of the year award from the Lagos Business School. In November 2018, Peter Bamkole was conferred with the fellowship of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria.

His current interest is designing new learning methods and e-support for SMEs.

StephenDr. Stephen Oluwatobi is currently a curator at the Hebron Startup Lab, Covenant University. He has a Ph.D in Innovation Economics from Covenant University and he is passionate about startups and their development. It is for this reason that he focuses on building them. He believes things can be done differently in ways that are better, cheaper, simpler and faster. He therefore promotes and drives the culture of innovation and enterprise.
He is also the founder of Awesome Impact, a Publishing Company and has written two books to help improve human capacity and contribution in organizations and economies.

SeunRuseweSeun Runsewe is an entrepreneur and CEO of digital banking app, Switch, making her the youngest banking CEO in Africa. Seun believes “Switch will create real value and empowerment for the average Nigerian like me. The banking system has left that gap and it is time for an advocate in the Financial services landscape, to help Nigerians build wealth over time and leave a legacy behind”.

Seun graduated from Covenant University where she studied Business Administration and took an interest in technology. Before her graduation, Seun certified with SAP as an Associate Consultant to understand the integration of business processes, and with COMPTIA as a Project Manager for IT projects. She also has a professional diploma in digital marketing with DMI in Ireland.

Seun started her career with KPMG Advisory as a Management Consultant where she advised Financial Services Institutions in Nigeria on operational strategy and business planning. She also coordinated Project Africa, KPMG’s initiative to push the frontiers of Financial Services in Africa – from Financial Risk Management, to Banking of the Future to Payments.

Seun left KPMG to become Business Lead at Paystack the high growth online payments start-up and the first Y Combinator backed start-up from Nigeria. There, she led sales partnership programs to drive merchant acquiring, worked on winning new market segments and set up an inbound sales function to support its 10x annual growth- Paystack now processes 35% of all online payments in Nigeria.

Outside Switch, Seun launched Biamo in 2018, a nursing bra line for new and expecting mums in West Africa, something that was not previously present in the Nigerian market. She has plans to expand the product line to include disposable and reusable nursing pads next quarter.
